Yo.. add a comment to this guestbook! =) |
April 23 one week leftCrap, class begins again next monday. So much for a vacation.. *sigh*
Just got a new joystick. Yes.. call me old fashioned, but they are pretty vital in flight and space combat games. Check out the entry here:
My tune card will only get ready by early next month. My online account is already active, as well as my internet banking. All I need now is the card! I wonder what my first internet purchase would be.. *dreams of an original NBA jersey*
April 16 update!Gosh
I just typed a moderately long post, then IE crashed :( So not in the mooooooooood.Should have used FF, or even better the Live Writer. Anywayz, I changed the theme a little. Made it a little beige-y. Its a nice relief from the previous theme. Trouble with Live Spaces is its
laggyness. With my blogspot blog, its relatively quick to log on and post. This is pretty important if I only get to have access to the net on old computers on campus.
So what have I done since end of Jan till now?
of weeks :(
both the family computer and the laptop.
for online purchases more than anything else really. Anywayz, this is quite a good concept.. perhaps better than debit cards too. I'll post more
about it when I finally get the card and use it to buy something online. Im sure lots of people are eager to know its usage.

I dont have any definite plans this holiday. Its only for 3 weeks anyway, since I'm taking the short sem as usual. I've never had a long holiday ever since I started uni! Can't wait for graduatation. I better buck up with my studies till I finish.. January 21 January Update!again, can't think of a more creative title =P
It's been a busy month; the usual assignments and reports. Did a lot of researching regarding Islamic science & tech as well some engineering topics. I believe MEMs and nanotechnology is going to play a significant role in Telecommunications, so I need to catch up with that. Recently, OpenHardware seems to be a very attractive initiative to try out, seeing the sucess of OSS. I had once research on cryptology methods, I wonder if I'll continue that too.. Maybe I'll post more about those stuff in Ashytized.
The more I searched the job classifieds, there more I came across positions for Research & Development Hardware Engineers. I'm guessing thats the thing I'll be aiming for now. Panasonic has some decent positions, even in Shah Alam. It would be a darn good opportunity to get a job here.. at least I'd save a lot on housing and transportation costs *grin* Im guessing there will be more R&D positions available by the time I graduate, inshallah. Some positions state some knowledge in PSpice is an added benefit, so thats cool. I had feared that learning that during my degree was a waste of time and energy. Which reminds me.. I still owe one of my professors a PSpice project report on Frequency-Time converters.. *gulp* C/C++ is mentioned consistently too.. I need to brush up on that soon.
Went to Enoch's 21st bday party last night. I had appreciated the invite, it was a much needed break from my hectic schedule. There were lots of people there, but, only 1 other person from our high school alumni came. The rest was from Enoch's uni and church. It was a bit akward seeing how I was the only malay dude there. Plus, they had a church prayer done for him during the cake cutting session. Of course, I still made a prayer, but in my head ;) Me and my other school buddy did some catching up to do. Missed the good old days! Enoch hasnt changed much.. except maybe the grunge-like hair, lol. I wonder when sukhdip will come back to do a big reunion thingy =P Damn.. I wonder how the Gangs of 2k3 website is going. I really need to revive that soon!
I finally had tkd classes. My legs hurt too much =( It's been about 6 years since I last had that kind of intensive training, so it put a toll on my unfit body. They are training for competitions, I believe. So there isn't much new theory to introduce, much to by disbelief. I would have started my.. *ahem* green *ahem* belt, but everyone else was black belt. Oh well, I guess i'll just focus on kicking techniques. Perhaps its a blessing in disguise? I hope I don't get my ass kicked in competitions!
Speaking of which, there'll be a 3v3 bball competition soon at my uni. I'm still in a process of creating a team.. but not many ppl I know are available =( I hope I can get ppl in time.
Thats it for now. I wanted to post a more interesting entry, but I'm so darn tired right now. Till next time!
December 16 Yo peeps!Alright, I couldnt think of a proper title. Anyway, finally a decent post. I'm exhilarated me and princess worked things out like mature people =) Inshallah, the bond is now stronger than before. I've got to work on the goals that I've set to be a better person =) Semester started, and I'm officially in my 3rd year of my Communications Engineering degree. The subjects that I undertook are quite motivating, cause Im under the tutelage of some of the greatest professors Ive ever met. I believe its also time I start planning on my final year project. I thought I had some ideas, but I didnt realise how vast the communications field can cover. Now I wonder if Telecommunications (which I believe was what I was doing all along) is really a subset of Communications ;) CrazyEngineers, a kick ass forum if I may add, was my original place for seeking ideas. But its still in its infancy, with many lost souls like me looking for a project to do. The problem I have is that I have an interest in a lot of things and perhaps TOO ambitious. Going to the Engineering Exhibition recently at my Uni didnt really help. It only expanded my ideas, such as MEMS and DSP stuff. I must be realistic and choose only one theme.. or else my final year project would fail miserably. Some of my colleagues are going to do their internships soon. Im only doing mine in the 4th year. MIMOS looks like a great place to start. Of course, multinationals like Intel and Siemens are on the potential list too. After many months of browsing through the Job classifieds of newspapers, it seems that a R&D or hardware design position would suit me best. Some companies are quite explicit on the job requirements for a specific engineering position, like stating "must have knowledge of RF designs.." or "proficient in C++ and MATLAB". This is quite a useful tool to use so you know what to focus on in your studies. Speaking of Matlab, my Digital Signal Processing class will make heavier use of it compared to last sem's Signals & Systems. That prompts me to start learning Scilab more.. since its quite hard to procure Matlab for personal use (legally, that is *grin*) Supposed to have Taekwondo class today. Its part of my credited co-curricular subjects, so its not really a serious class thingy, more intro than anything else (and I doubt I can increase my lowly belt level there anyway). Anywayz, nobody turned up. Maybe I should have opted for Cooking Skills instead, lol! Houston Rockets are not doing that well. Arsenal lost their first game in the EPL last week. It set the tone of a terrible week, but its over now thank goodness. Ok, till next time!

=DWelcome to this blog of nonsense.. nonsequentually, that is *grin* after going through some identity crisis, this blog settled down to being just a personal blog. No bball (well.. maybe a LITTLE) and tech stuff. Just plain oooold Ash ;)
